A top runner who ran in the nationally televised Hakone Ekiden relay race during his second year at Teikyo University, he declined offers from corporate teams and, upon graduating from university, launched a YouTube channel called “Tamujo,” which mixes running and comedy. He says he aims to blend running and laughter. Since February 2024, he has been working as the “Seiko Sports Fan Leader,” conveying the fun of sports and the excitement of track and field to children and fans.

Tamujo serves as the MC in these youth development activities, teaching the importance of time in sports to children who will lead the next generation, encouraging them to challenge themselves and to develop their thinking skills.

The starting block has built-in speakers to ensure that the start sound is heard equally by all athletes. It also has pressure sensors to detect the pressure of the athlete’s foot on the footplate, which helps to judge false starts.

Photo Finish System

Representative Event: 100m
This camera can measure up to 1/10,000th of a second. Using the photo finish camera, measurements are taken in 1/100th of a second increments, as is stipulated by the rules.
