Nonoka Ozaki

Ms. Ozaki is the indomitable queen of the fiercely competitive women’s wrestling world.
In 2022, she won the world championship in the 62kg category in Serbia, becoming a world champion for the first time. However, in June 2023, she tied with her opponent in the All Japan Invitational Championships but lost on content points, making it difficult to secure a spot on the Japanese national team in the 62kg category. She then switched to the non-Olympic 65kg category, won the championship, and achieved a two-category victory at the World Championships. In December of the same year, she moved up to the 68kg category, the only category without an Olympic representative, and won the championship. In the subsequent playoffs, she won a series of thrilling matches to secure her spot as a representative for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
