Time measurement

All students will be timed using the Seiko Sports Timer. The children usually get very excited because they can measure their time automatically and accurately. The fastest child will go head-to-head with the guest athlete!

We have received positive feedback
from participants.

  • It was fun running together with everyone! I was happy and encouraged when Ms. Fukushima said, “If you practice, you will definitely become faster.”
  • I gained a lot of confidence by running with Ms. Fukushima. She taught me how to raise my legs and swing my arms. I will use this to do even better in the future!
  • When I saw on the Internet that Ms. Fukushima had won seven gold medals, I thought, “Wow! That’s amazing!” But when I met her, she was even more impressive and totally cool!

This class is usually very active and energetic, but they seemed to be a bit nervous at first.
However, as they practiced running with Ms. Fukushima, they became excited, and I could see that they were all focused and eager to participate.
I heard that Ms. Fukushima started running track and field when she was in the fourth grade, the same age as these students.
I hope that today’s experience will give them an opportunity to think a little differently and perhaps take steps to realize their dreams.
