Q : How do you approach race day? How do you prepare mentally for a race?
On the day of the race, I avoid creating pre-race routines. For example, I change my pre-race stretching routine depending on the day.

Q : Is there a sport other than your own that you would like to try?
Baseball, as a DH (Designated Hitter). When I played baseball in elementary school, I was not good at defense but I loved batting.

Team Seiko Athletes
Team Seiko athletes inspire others, particularly young people, through their outstanding achievements in sport.
They also embody Seiko’s group purpose of “creating a future filled with smiles worldwide.”
Seiko’s Measurement Technology
Timing and measurement are indispensable for sports competitions. Seiko has supported a variety of sports since 1964.
What we bring to each competition includes cutting-edge technology, experience, and a passion for sports.

Touch Plate
The touch plates installed on the start and turn sides do not react to water pressure or splashes, but are designed to accurately detect the swimmer's touch, and then send signals to the main timing system, the printing timer.

Starting Blocks
The starting blocks features a non-slip surface and a footplate that can be adjusted in five increments forward or backward to ensure a secure start for the swimmers. The starting block is equipped with sensors that detect the moment the swimmer’s feet leave the block and send a signal to the main timing system, the “printing timer.”
