Outstanding Young Swimmer Miyo Narita Joins Team Seiko

Seiko Group Corporation (Representative Chairman and Group CEO, Group CCO, Shinji Hattori; Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter referred to as "Seiko") is pleased to announce the signing of a support contract with the swimmer Miyo Narita. She will now join our Team Seiko (※).

In 2022, as a third-year middle-school student, Miyo Narita set a junior world record in the 400m individual medley at the Japan selection trials for international competition. Then, in April 2023, she secured victories in both the 200m and 400m individual medley at the Japan Championships. In September of the same year, she achieved an impressive third place in the 400m individual medley at the Asian Games. As a promising young athlete, she is expected to be a leader of Japan’s competitive swimming teams and leave her mark on the global stage.

With the addition of Ms. Narita, Team Seiko now consists of the following nine members:

Born: December 18, 2006, in Tokyo. Currently 17 years old.
Education: April 2022, enrolled at Shukutoku Sugamo High School (Tokyo).
Affiliations: Kanamachi Swimming Club.
