With words written by the employees, the heartfelt Seiko theme song radiates positivity and solidarity. I went into the studio with a bright yellow outfit to match the uplifting lyrics.
I chose to sing in my native tongue English and after hearing that this would be played every morning in the office, I decided to start off with the chorus - ‘With the start of a brand new day, moving ahead and touching hearts. We will shape the future’. What better way to start off the day with the company slogan!
Katsuhisa Hattori gave the arrangement a jazzy feel with a nod to ‘Shearing’. We had such a blast!

Sarah Àlainn

Born in Australia, Sarah Àlainn is a vocalist and violinist who speaks four languages. She graduated from the University of Sydney with top honors in music and linguistics and studied at the University of Tokyo. She made her major debut in 2012. Her voice is known as the "1/f fluctuation," which has a healing wavelength. She participated in a Disney commemorative album produced by 16-time Grammy Award-winning producer David Foster and performed with Andrea Bocelli, considered the world's greatest tenor. She has sung at the Kyoto Music Stage at Kinkaku-ji Temple and Sennyu-ji Temple. Sarah has composed, written, and sung numerous movie, TV show, and commercial theme songs. She is a regular on NHK's English programs and a radio personality. She also serves as the navigator for NHK World's "KABUKI KOOL" and was appointed as a goodwill ambassador for "Australia now" by the Australian government. In September 2018, she released her first Blu-ray & DVD, "Cinema Music with Sarah Àlainn," and plans to release her first best album "Timeless" in October.
