Always Yonchome Choir

Message from Choir Leader Miyadera

In October 2013, several employees from Seiko's affiliated companies came together outside of their working lives to enjoy music, forming the Always Yonchome Choir.
Although we have had several opportunities to sing the image song at Seiko events, this was the first time for us to record it. Surrounded by microphones in the studio, we felt like true recording artists, and our excitement was obvious.
We focused on the lyrics to this wonderful song and tried to convey a bright and joyful feeling.
We hoped to bring out a slightly different perspective on this song by using the rich resonance and harmony unique to a choir.

About the Arrangement (Norio Maeda)

The arrangement is inspired by the Mitch Miller Choir, famous for choral pieces such as The Longest Day and The Great Escape Theme. It aims to create a choral sound with a sense of grandeur, hoping to uplift everyone who hears it.

Profile

Always Yonchome Choir

This was a mixed choir, mainly composed of volunteers from the Seiko Group.
The choir’s name, which means “Always Fourth Street,” was derived from the place where the singers gathered to practice — the Wako luxury store at the famous Ginza Yonchome (Fourth Street) intersection.
