Seiko Group Again Named to CDP’s Climate Change “A List”

Seiko Group Corporation (Chairman & Group CEO & Group CCO: Shinji Hattori, headquartered in Chuo-ku, Tokyo) has been recognized as an “A List” company in CDP’s 2025 rankings, marking the second consecutive year for the firm to achieve this status. Seiko Group was awarded for its proactive measures on climate change and its high level of transparency in environmental disclosure. This year, the Group also received an A- rating in the Water Security category, earning “Leadership Level” status in both Climate Change and Water Security.
In 2025, more than 22,100 companies disclosed environmental information through CDP’s platform, and approximately 20,000 of them were evaluated. Companies selected for the A List represent the top 4% of global businesses.
In SMILE145, its 8th Medium-Term Management Plan, Seiko Group positioned “Addressing Climate Change and Decarbonization” as a key pillar of its sustainability strategy. The firm is committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. In fiscal 2024, the company achieved virtually 100% renewable electricity usage across all its domestic sites, and continues to advance initiatives aligned with its decarbonization transition plan (Scope 1 and 2). Looking ahead, Seiko Group will strive to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and contribute to the development of a sustainable society.

Its annual disclosure and scoring process is widely recognized as the global standard for corporate environmental transparency.
