ABOUT THE DOCUMENTARY For That Single Moment (Seiko Timing Team Tokyo 2025 World Athletics Championships)

●Behind the Scenes — Supporting Tokyo 2025 World Athletics

The documentary follows the Seiko Timing Team, which served as the Official Timer at the Tokyo 2025 World Athletics Championships. It captures the meticulous preparations, the pressure of recording performances to 1/1,000 of a second, and the passion of the staff who support the athletes. At the WAC, timekeeping and measurement are at the heart of every competition. However, our team wants to show fans that records are more than mere numbers. They stand as a testament to the dedication, hard work, and long-held dreams of the athletes who achieve them. This film explores the challenges, responsibilities, and human passion that lie behind every record, bringing into focus the stories that live beyond the numbers.

●Sharing the Meaning of “A TRUE MOMENT” with the World

Seiko's sports branding concept is called “A TRUE MOMENT.”
Sports have the power to create moments that move people and define an era.
Moments when athletes push beyond their limits.
Moments when spectators are deeply moved and even inspired.
And moments for those behind the scenes who bear the responsibility to make those achievements possible.

Through its longstanding role in timekeeping and measurement, Seiko has remained committed to each and every one of these moments.
This film focuses not only on the athletic results achieved in the stadium, but also on the people whose dedication makes it possible to capture those moments.
We view this Silver Award as recognition that the message behind A TRUE MOMENT, along with Seiko’s commitment to sharing the inspiration of sport with the world, has resonated with audiences across borders and cultures.

●Communicating the Technology and Passion That Lie Behind Sports

Since 1964, Seiko has continued to innovate sports timing and measurement. Since partnering with World Athletics in 1985, Seiko has served as Official Timer for 19 consecutive World Athletics Championships and has officially recorded 35 world records.

Inspired by this award, we will continue to contribute to the advancement of sports while delivering trustworthy information and emotional value to people around the world. Through these efforts, we hope to help realize our Group Purpose: “Creating A Future Filled with Smiles.”
