Seiko Group Corporation

Seiko Group Corporation (Chairman & Group CEO, CCO: Shinji Hattori; head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter “Seiko”) announces that it has produced a new corporate TV commercial featuring music by pop singer MISIA, who also serves as a Seiko Group ambassador, expressing the idea that “Seiko is not just a watch-maker, but a solutions company that helps to solve social issues.”
Since its foundation over 140 years ago, Seiko has been known as an outstanding watch company, but the precision technology and reputation for reliability that it has cultivated over the decades have transcended the world of watches, and are now transforming the firm into a force that helps society. The new corporate TV ad shows another image of Seiko — as a company providing a variety of solutions to create "a future full of smiles,” as stated in the Seiko Group Purpose. The video is available on a special Website and is scheduled to be broadcast on terrestrial TV and a cable channel in the near future.

Two sides of the company: The Seiko of Watches and The Seiko of Solutions New TV ad uses twins to promote “Solutions that Move Hearts”

In this commercial, the two aspects of Seiko are presented using the image of twin children. The twins carry a large bag, from which they pull out various light blue models representing technologies powered by Seiko-engineered solutions. They walk through a cityscape made of white building blocks. It looks like the streets of Ginza, centered on the iconic Seiko House building. The Seiko solutions are then shown in action, and we can see that Seiko's solutions bring smiles to people's faces.
Seiko will continue to deliver “solutions that move hearts” to help society.

Scenes from Seiko’s new TV Commercial

Adoption of MISIA's song “Yubikiri Genman (SEIKO ver.)”

Pop singer MISIA’s hit song Yubikiri Genman was re-arranged and re-recorded with an orchestra especially for this new video. The song was the theme of a TV drama (broadcast in March 2024) depicting the tumultuous life of our Group's founder, Kintaro Hattori.
MISIA says she was inspired to write Yubikiri Genman by Kintaro Hattori and by Seiko, a company well known for putting a high value on people and public trust since its founding. Seiko was pleased to appoint her as a Group Ambassador. The use of MISIA’s song in the new video represents Seiko's commitment to continue creating a future full of smiling faces through “solutions that move hearts.”

Expressing the desire for a sustainable society with wood blocks

The Ginza-like cityscape (centered on Seiko House) that is shown in the video was created by a production team led by Miharu Takagi, a wood block artist, using approximately 5,000 blocks.
The building blocks, which can be reassembled endlessly to create new structures and designs, are a symbol of sustainability. This cityscape represents Seiko's desire for a sustainable society, which we are helping to realize through our solutions.
