Seiko Group Corporation (President and CEO, Group CEO and Group CCO: Shinji Hattori; Chuo-ku, Tokyo) has been selected as an “A-List” company in the 2024 survey by CDP, an international non-profit organization for environmental information disclosure. This recognition is the highest rating in the area of climate change and transparency in information disclosure.

CDP operates a global system for corporate and municipal environmental disclosure. In 2024, 24,800 companies, representing more than 66% of the world's stock market capitalization, disclosed information through CDP. In Japan, more than 2,100 companies, including over 70% of Prime market listed companies (as of April 1, 2024), disclosed information through CDP. CDP evaluates this information on an 8-point scale, from A to D-, with the very best companies receiving an “A-List” rating.
The Seiko Group is actively working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in line with the SDG strategy set out in its eighth medium-term management plan, called SMILE 145. Under the heading “Climate Change and Decarbonization Initiatives,” Seiko has outlined a roadmap for decarbonization, with the aim of achieving net zero emissions by 2050. One of its goals is to convert virtually all electricity used at all its domestic sites to renewable energy by the end of FY2024 (March 31, 2025).
The Seiko Group will continue to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society by taking proactive steps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
