THE GIFT OF TIME - A MOMENT OF MA - October 6, 2026, in New York Event site

THE GIFT OF TIME 間 / October 6th, 2026 New York City

A MOMENT OF MA

In Japan,
“MA” is the space between things.
A Pause.
Not empty, but rather full of possibility, wonder and imminence.
Seiko invites New York
to a night of pausing.
A night of noticing, appreciating
and opening.
Becoming aware of the
space between things,
we open to the potential of everything.
Pausing, we feel the preciousness
and fullness of each moment.

Making space for “MA”.

Our Gift of Time to you.

Kengo Kuma

“The Japanese tea house (“chashitsu”) is an architecture dedicated to the Theme of Time.
To be honest, it is the world’s only architecture designed to sense the flow of time. I have explored the essence of this traditional space into a simple, modular design—a tea house that flows through time itself. I believe this undoubtedly resonates with the philosophy of Seiko / Grand Seiko.”

Exhibiting
THE GIFT OF TIME

Inspired by the short film
THE GIFT OF TIME, the exhibition brings
the traditional Japanese concept of "MA(間)"
—the rich, expectant
space between things where wonder,
possibility, and deep
appreciation reside.

To guide you through this journey
of stillness and reflection,
our curated installation unfolds
across three chapters.
