Seiko Holdings Corporation announces a dismissal of President as well as a change in the appointment as approved by the Meeting of the Board of Directors held on April 30, 2010.
1. Content of the decision
Mr. Koichi Murano, the former President, has brought unstable corporate governance by his tendentious management style, reflecting only the opinions of some major shareholder and director, neglecting reasonable exercise of executive power. As a result, it has raised distrust of the company management among our business partners and employees. To avoid this critical condition, the company determined to dismiss the former President. With this personnel change, the company is committed to improving the corporate governance as well as achieving prompt business recovery.
