The Seiko Institute of Horology opened in 1981 to commemorate the centennial of Seiko' s founding. In addition to exhibiting a wide range of Seiko products past and present, it collects, catalogues, and preserves various articles, documents, and books related to time and time-keeping instruments from all over Japan and overseas. A visit to the Seiko Institute of Horology will give visitors a systematic understanding of Seiko' s history and the history of watch and clock industry.
